Creating a New User and applying permissions
This article provides steps on how to create a new user. Please note that once a user is created, they will have no permissions and therefore no access to anything on Mantle.
There is a section at the bottom of this article about applying permissions.
Creating a new user
Navigate to the client page on Mantle and scroll down to the table called ‘Users’
At the top of the table click ‘+ Add new user’

Type the User’s full name into the ‘User Name’ box and click ‘Add’

The user will be created with the status ‘Suspended’ and will appear at the top of the User table.
Click on the username to open the ‘Manage User’ page
Uncheck the box to ‘Suspend User’ and then choose their log in method. You can use Google Authenticator or Simple User ID.

Google Authenticator
If you using Google Authenticator – you will need to click the link shown below to generate a QR code for the user.

Once you have generated the QR code – left click and copy this. You will need to send a copy to the user, and once you save this page, the QR code will disappear.
Once you have copied the QR code to send to the user, type in a password for the user and click the save button (floppy disk icon) in the top right hand corner.

You will need to send the QR code and the temporary password to the user.

Simple User ID
In order to use Simple User ID, you will need to have a mobile number for the user. If you choose Simple User ID as the log in method, you will share the unique User ID with the user and this will remain static.
The 2 Factor Authentication will be via an SMS code each time the user logs in.
Take note of the ‘Simple User ID’ (shown as 344001 below) to share with the user, enter their mobile number, and set a password for them.
Then click the save button in the top right hand corner.

Share the details with the user. When they enter their Simple User ID and password to Mantle, they will receive a code via SMS message which they must input.
When they first log in, they will be asked to create their own password.
Applying permissions to the new user
Once a new user has been created, you can apply ‘User roles’ on the ‘Manage User’ page.

You can apply these user roles by checking the appropriate box, then clicking the save button in the top right had corner.
