Using Google Authenticator to log into Mantle for the first time
When a new Mantle User is set up and a QR code is provided for first log in, the user should follow the instructions below to log in to Mantle for the first time.
- Use your mobile device to download Google Authenticator from the app store.
- Within the Google Authenticator app, click the ‘plus’ button and select ‘Scan a QR code’.
- Scan the QR code you have been provided
- Once you have scanned the QR code in the google authenticator app, you should now have an entry called ‘Mantle’ which is generating a 6-digit code – this 6-digit code is your Mantle username. Please note the generated code is time based and will only work whilst the code remains on screen, before turning red, at which point a new code will be generated.
- On the Mantle website (https://app.mantlehosting.co.uk ) use this 6-digit code as your username and the temporary password which you have been provided
- Please note you should not have any spaces in the 6-digit code, and you should also make sure you have clicked the ‘Login’ button before the code turns red in the Authenticator app, this is because it is a time-based code and is only valid for the length of time it is shown in the app. If you find you are running out of time, type the password in first to speed up the process.
- You will be required to set your own password the first time you log in
